Thank you very much for your comment Babang. In fact a more complete understanding of customers being patients and patients being customers is needed to improve both sides. Mobile business and healrhcare.

You make an iseertnting point about success being driven by having a sound understanding of your customers. It seems an obvious point and yet our research indicates that mobile operators are still failing to use the customer data they have at their disposal to properly understand their customers’ needs and behaviour. It shows that 48% of UK mobile subscribers do not feel they are marketed to as individuals and 49% feel that their provider doesn’t know them “at all” from the communications they send.If operators focused their strategies on building positive relationships with customers by communicating with them effectively, the customers’ overall experience of the relationship with the provider would improve and may reduce subscriber churn.

Dear Nick,
thank you so much for your comment and thank you also for your link. Yes, i do think that we have to consider all forces within a treatment situation to design sustainable business cases. It's not an easy task but it has to be done. A lot can be achieved here. Patient Centered IT is an important to to integrate the biggest stakeholder. The Patient.
Regards
Christian

What an interesting and compelling post. Yet ultimately, when healthcare organizations consider the steps needed to improve the patient experience, they face a business decision.

Here’s an interesting and compelling article by Cleveland Clinic Chief Experience Officer Dr. James Merlino that lays out the business case for the patient experience. It’s called “The Patient Experience: Why Top Hospitals Should Care.”
