In this survey published by http://www.healthleadersmedia.com some of the aspects of the management difficulties for healthcare organisations that are trying to provide a better patient experience are documented. This somehow relates to my observation that patients are not perceived as vital players in healthcare delivery. The combination of patients being the source of all activities in helathcare delivery but left without major participation in improvement of patient experience or patient centeredness is unique for a business sector. I fully subscribe to the statement made in the survey

“Especially in this experience area, healthcare people are going to have to study outside of their own industry.”
