The main goal is to develop strategies to improve compliance. Patient involvement in e-prescription is an important factor since e-prescription is just another application of Patiet Centered IT. Aspects like

patients’ attitudes about their condition and the importance of medicine; understanding how to take medications appropriately; the impact of complex therapy; and, the trust and communication between the patient, the physician and the pharmacist.

will be investigated. It will be interesting to know about the value of information and self management in e-prescription. An earlier proposal by Mettler & Kemper (2005) suggests the use of information prescription to have an effect on outcome and behaviour of the patient.
